Don’t let guilt get in the way: Everyone deserves a professional cleaning service.
Many of us who grew up in the 70s or 80s – I think they call us Generation X – find it difficult to accept having someone clean our home. Many of us grew up watching our grandparents and parents fulfill traditional roles. The dads worked full-time outside the home while the moms stayed at home and cared for the house. Any hired help was considered a luxury for the wealthy or those who needed a full-time Alice.
Times have changed. It has changed how families spend their free time. Our priorities and focus have changed. It’s unfair to believe that you don’t have the money or deserve to hire cleaning services.
A Cleaning Service is a must for full-time workers.
You know how precious your time is if you work outside the home, particularly if you are a parent. You barely have any time to enjoy your personal life when you are occupied with children’s activities on the weekends and evenings. You don’t need to worry about finding time to dust the light fixtures and scrub the floors. You’ll be able to get better sleep if you have someone else do the cleaning regularly. This will allow you to spend more time with your family and yourself. You don’t have to worry about setting bad examples for your children. There will always be plenty of chores in the house that you can ask your children to help with.
A Cleaning Service is Essential for Full-Time Parents
You might be hesitant to outsource your housecleaning if you’re a stay-at-home parent or a work-at-home parent. Don’t feel guilty. Unless you’re a very organized person or someone who loves cleaning, it can be difficult to keep up with the mess all day. It is difficult enough to keep up with the parenting duties of today.
It would be best if you thought about this: June Cleaver didn’t have to manage the Beaver for playdates, Cub Scouts practice, piano lessons, and karate. She wasn’t even trying to start a business or become a PTO volunteer. Her spare time was enough to wash her hair, clean her bathroom in her apron, put on her kitten heels, and make a martini for her husband after a long day at work. All the while, Wally and Beav were out playing with Eddie Haskell. Although I’m not sure that the Cleaver world was a true representation of 1950s life, it was a model for housewives for many years. This ideal must be let go.
Seniors deserve a cleaning service.
Senior parents may have a harder time accepting help from paid cleaners if they are older. They may be the most in need of it. My mother-in-law is 93 years old and still lives independently. She is in remarkable good health considering her age. However, pushing a vacuum cleaner or cleaning a bathtub could prove dangerous. Regular cleaning keeps her home clean and germ-free and clears her floor of any potential hazards. This is not an option but a necessity.
